Science Activities

Here are the science activities for the virtual CoCoMAD festival 2020!

Eight of the experiments below are supported Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), who helped fund CoCoMAD science boxes which were distributed to local school children. But fear not - the experiments are available online for anyone to take part!

Battery Jenga (Science Box Experiment 8)
Battery Jenga (Science Box Experiment 8)

Lithium Ion batteries are rechargeable; they have to be charged, used (discharged) and then recharged. They have a similar layered structure to Jenga which will be used to help demonstrate charging and discharging processes.
